CPP20207 Certificate II in Security Operations

Introduction

To get a full class (1A, 1C, 1E & 1G) NSW Security Licence you will either need to successfully complete two Work Place Assessments, if you possess a current Provisional class (1A, 1C, 1E & 1G) NSW Security Licence or apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) if you have worked previously in the security  industry or in similar role (for e.g.: Police Officer, Correction Service Officer, Defence Force Personnel etc).

Work Place Assessment

Workplace Assessments are undertaken at your place of work with the approval of your employer. The assessor will develop an assessment plan and provide you with all the required assitance to help you prepare for your asssessments.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

An RPL application requires the student to submit all relevant and valid evidence to infer competency in their desired licence application. Assessors will review all RPL applications prior to an interview with the applicant. RPL applicants may in some instances be required to undergo additional training (Gap Training).
