Are you interested in becoming a Security Guard? Here is everything you need to know.

In New South Wales, all potential Security Guards must complete a Certificate I in Security Operations (Pre-Licence 91190NSW). This is comprised of the Nationally Recognised Qualification: Certificate I in Security Operations (PRS10103) and Elective Modules required for various licence categories.

Everyone applying a Pre-Licence Security Course must complete a P1016 Acknowledgement Of Grounds For The Refusal Of Security Licences form. A copy of this form may be obtained from Allegiance or from the Security Industry Registry. Further Information (including Prescribed offences which would prevent you from acquiring a security licence) can be found on the NSW Police Website. You must agree to be fingerprinted by NSW Police should you complete your Pre-Licence Training.

To begin Pre-Licence training, contact Allegiance on (02) 9905 9193 or info@allegiancetraining.com.au and have a Course Information Sheet and Student Handbook e-mailed to you. These will detail the costs involved and outline our Policies and Procedures.

You will need to come in and present proof of Citizenship. This MUST be in the form of one of the following

  • Australian Citizens - Birth Certificate
  • Naturalised Citizen - Citizenship Papers
  • New Zealand Citizen - Passport (with latest entry stamp)
  • Permanent Resident - Passport (with latest entry stamp)

No negotiations will be entered into, these are the only acceptable forms of ID.
